Access Statement
THE ARCHES GUESTHOUSE welcomes everybody irrespective of age, race, class, sexual orientation or disability. We’re a very friendly relaxed family run guesthouse, which prides itself on cleanliness, a warm welcome, comfortable accommodation and large breakfasts.
Centrally located within Whitby's West Cliff Conservation area, The Arches Guesthouse is close to all of Whitby's amenities and attractions. A five minute walk will take you to the centre of Whitby town and the sea front is just a short stroll away from there. The Arches Guesthouse is the ideal base for experiencing the old world charms of Whitby, its history, a working seaport and holiday resort. You will find a tranquil and pleasant atmosphere that guarantees rest and relaxation.
GUESTHOUSE ACCOMMODATION. The Arches Guesthouse offers a choice of en-suite double, family and twin rooms which cater for most guest's accommodation requirements, with ground floor rooms available for guests with impaired mobility. We have two single rooms that have private individual bathrooms.
LESS ABLE GUESTS are required to telephone us to discuss their particular and personal requirements. Please note that to access The Arches Guesthouse there is a shallow flight of 5 steps with a handrail. Regrettably, The Arches Guesthouse is not suitable for wheelchair bound guests.
ALL GUESTHOUSE ROOMS are centrally heated, have colour televisions, hospitality trays, hairdryers, radio alarm clocks, air circulation fans and comfortable beds. Ironing facilities are available upon request.
PARKING. Please note: We DO NOT have private parking. Ample on-street car parking is available to those with patience, forbearance, and a parking permit. Parking permits are included within the booking price, however we do encourage a donation to MacMillan. Permits will be available on arrival from the dispenser on the left in the Porch. GROUP BOOKINGS Sorry we do not accept stag or hen groups, nor touring sports teams.
DIET Vegetarians catered for but guests are requested to advise if they have any special dietary requirements.
